What is the Turkish Proficiency Exam (TYS)?

The Turkish Proficiency Exam is an examination designed to determine the Turkish language proficiency levels of international students and individuals who are currently studying or planning to study at our university.

Who can take the exam?

International individuals and international students can take this exam.

How many sessions will the exam have?

The exam will be held in a single session and will last 120 minutes.

When and where will the exam be held?

The exam will be held on September 9, 2026, at 09:00.

Is the exam subject to a fee?

• If you have been admitted to Kilis 7 Aralık University this year and have completed your registration, you do not need to pay the exam fee.
• If you were admitted to our university in previous years but have not received education at TÖMER, you are required to pay the exam fee.
• If you are not studying at the university but wish to determine your Turkish language proficiency level, you are required to pay the exam fee.

How much is the exam fee and how can I make the payment?

The exam fee is 3,500 ₺.

What documents should I bring to the exam?

A photo ID card or passport and a student certificate.
