Quality Policy
In line with the quality policies of Kilis 7 Aralık University, the Turkish and Foreign Languages Teaching Application and Research Centre (TÖMER) is committed to providing stakeholder-oriented, continuously improving Turkish and foreign language teaching that meets national and international standards. To this end, the Centre:
- Learner focus: implements programmes based on the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR, A1–C1), centred on learners’ needs, levels and goals.
- Reliable assessment: conducts the Turkish Proficiency Exam, placement tests and level completion exams fairly, transparently and reliably, measuring all four language skills in accordance with the relevant directives.
- Qualified teaching staff: supports the professional development of its instructors and offers certificate programmes in teaching Turkish to foreigners.
- Stakeholder participation: regularly collects feedback from learners, graduates, academic units, public institutions and partner organisations and reflects it in decision-making.
- Continuous improvement: manages all processes through the Plan – Do – Check – Act (PDCA) cycle, monitors performance indicators and improves according to the results.
- Cultural integration and community engagement: organises social and cultural activities that help international students get to know Turkish culture and adapt to university life.
- Transparency and accountability: shares activity reports, quality documents and performance results with the public through its website.
