I have been admitted to the University. What Turkish level do I need to start my studies?
Under the International Student Admission Directive, you need at least C1 in the Kilis TÖMER Turkish Proficiency Exam or courses to register for courses and start your studies. See Turkish Proficiency Exam (TYS) for details.
Is my Turkish certificate from another institution valid?
Certificates are evaluated by the TÖMER Board of Directors. TÖMER may ask the holder to take the Turkish Proficiency Exam to verify the level stated on the certificate; no fee is charged for this exam.
How long is a level?
Each level is 180 hours and is completed in about 6 weeks with 6 lesson hours every weekday.
Can I miss classes?
At least 80% attendance is compulsory. Learners below this rate cannot take the level completion exam.
What happens if I fail the level completion exam?
If you score below 50 in one skill, you get a second exam. If you fail again, or score below 50 in two skills, you repeat the level.
How do I pay the course fee?
The fee is paid into the account on the Bank Details page, and the receipt is submitted at registration.
